Four Elements

What does a naked lady sitting by the seashore have to do with the four elements of antique science? Well: the sun represents fire; the air with the birds and clouds air; the sea of course water; and the amorphous round rocks and crystals two aspects of the earth. Note how the lady's hair waving in the wind seems to mutate to birds which mutate to clouds which mutate to waves, an idea I got from Escher, symbolising the interaction of the elements of water and air; similarly the suns rays being reflected by the calm sea represent the water being warmed.
